CamoSeal™ is a multi-purpose, self-adhering waterproofing and protective membrane. The product may be used to protect, quiet, and waterproof most common materials. You are limited only by your imagination!
WE RECOMMEND:
- Applying CamoSeal in dry weather at temperatures above 40º F. In cooler weather, use Spray Adhesive (aerosol contact cement) to prepare the surface.
- CamoSeal sticks only as good as what it is stuck to. Make sure the surface is firmly attached, clean, and non-oily.
- If you want to stick CamoSeal to brick, concrete, or really rusty metal, you must prime the surface with an asphalt primer!
- If you need to clean the surface before applying CamoSeal, use acetone or Simple Green and let it dry for at least 15 minutes.
- If you want to remove or clean-up any residue left by CamoSeal, use WD-40 or mineral spirits.
CamoSeal™ will adhere to most surfaces and be very difficult to remove!
- CamoSeal WILL NOT stick well to rubber, flexible vinyl (PVC), silicone caulking, or uncured caulking and solvents or wet surfaces! It will however stick to OSB or Plywood without primer or sealants!!
- Before applying Peel & Seal over caulks, sealants or petroleum-based materials, allow any solvents to evaporate fully. Paint must be very dry before applying CamoSeal to it.
HOW TO INSTALL:
1. Remove about 12” of the release paper, align CamoSeal and press into place.
2. Slowly and carefully unroll CamoSeal, pulling the release paper and pressing into place.
3. Make sure to eliminate air pockets and keep the roll aligned.
4. End laps must be at least 6” and side laps at least 3” and in a shingle-like manner so that water runs over the lap instead of against it.
5. CamoSeal may be easily cut with a knife or scissors.Roll entire surface firmly with a hand roller to activate adhesive; especially laps and edges.
6. If the top edge of CamoSeal is left exposed to water, use a bead of non-silicone exterior-grade caulking to protect the edge.
